  • Song Writing

A favorite activity at Eagle Island! Campers choose a popular song and rewrite the lyrics to express their time at camp. These are often shared at closing campfires to sum up their week at camp.

  • Skit Development

Twice a session campers are encouraged to join their group “on stage” at our opening and closing campfires. Campers work together to create a skit to introduce the group at the start of the session and something to sum up their time at camp for closing campfire.

  • Playing Instruments

Eagle Island has a few instruments including guitars, ukuleles, drums, and a piano soundboard. Campers also create their own instruments and work together to write songs.

  • Singing & Performing

Campers get to perform for the camp at campfires and evening programs. Groups chose to sing songs or perform skits or plays.

  • Improv Games

Improv games teach confidence, creativity, flexibility, and teamwork. Campers get to showcase their authentic selves and work on developing their “yes, and” muscles!

  • Dance Choreography

Learning various styles of dance and routines is a fun way to exercise. Staff may lead campers in ballet, tap, step, or modern dance. And campers love to show off the dance routines they learned at home from various videos.
