Honorable Dorcas R. Hardy (1946-2019) was Principal of DRHardy & Assoc., a government relations and public policy firm promoting improved government management through technology. She received a B.A. from Connecticut College, an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University, and completed the Certified Financial Planner Program, Executive Program in Health Policy, and Financial Management at Harvard. She served in state and federal positions including U.S. Commissioner of Social Security.  A lifetime Girl Scout, Dorcas was an Eagle Island camper, represented the Oranges and Maplewood at GSUSA on the national and international level, and was a member of the U.S. Our Chalet (Switzerland) Committee, She served as President of FEI from 2011 to 2015 and continued as an Emeritus Director until her passing.
