COVID-19 Updates from Eagle Island.

When we know, you’ll know.

The most frustrating thing about this pandemic is all the uncertainty. And we get that, we’re experiencing it too. Both personally and professionally. So while we may not be able to speed up decisions from our governing bodies, we can keep you informed of where we are at in our decision making process. So check back to learn what we know. This page will be updated at least once a week.

At this time we are planning for a full summer of programming. We believe that the protocols and procedures required will be similar to last summer so that is what we are planning around. If protocols change we will adjust accordingly.

NYS released the COVID-19 guidance for summer camps on 5/19/21. We are currently reading through this guidance and will communicate our plan as soon as one is finalized. You can read the guidance here.

Governor Cuomo announced on February 17 that overnight summer camps will be able to run as scheduled in 2021.

Eagle Island Camp registration is open for all in person programming this summer in 2021. Right now we are moving forward with our full program schedule including all-gender day camp, girls’ overnight camp, family camp, and women’s weekends. We have lowered our capacity to allow for only 4 campers or participants per tent or cabin and do not plan to house multiple family groups in one space unless requested by the participants. Therefore, early registration is encouraged to ensure your space.

You can learn more about our refund policy on our FAQs page.

We are encouraging all staff, volunteers, and participants to bring proof of vaccination if applicable so that when they are exposed at camp they can skip the quarantine period.
