Adirondack Plein Air Festival - Preview Party

The Adirondack Plein Air Festival involves 4 1/2 days of painting and then a huge Show & Sale that could very well have 500 fresh, wet paintings that were created during the event.

SPECIAL EXHIBIT: Eagle Island
A small group of artists have been invited to paint at the Eagle Island Camp, on Upper Saranac Lake. There will be a special display set up in the Town Hall to feature these paintings of the historic property and information will be available from the Friends of Eagle Island.

On Friday August 18, all the framed paintings have to be turned in and there will be a Special Preview Party & Awards Presentation from 6 - 9 pm in the Harrietstown, Town Hall at 39 Main St. Tickets are $20/person.  CLICK HERE for more information.

Historic Saranac Lake, "History Matters: Eagle Island"

DESCRIPTION: Paula Michelsen McGovern, Executive Director of Eagle Island, Inc. will give an informal presentation about the Eagle Island restoration project. The talk is a lead-in to the special tour of the island hosted in August. This talk will be held in the John Black Room of the Saranac Laboratory Museum. This event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.

Friends of Eagle Island: Informal Community Discussion

Friends of Eagle Island will be holding an informal discussion and presentation on Sunday, May 29 at 3pm at the: 

Town of Santa Clara Community Center

There will be a "photo walking tour" slide show, maps and other schematics.   This is a time for the community to get to know our organization and share its goals for this historic Great Camp.  

If you are in the area for Memorial Weekend, we hope you can attend.  If possible, we would appreciate having a rough headcount for set up.
